Tim Wheeler - Artistic Director Tim is responsible for the artistic direction of the company. He keeps an eye on quality and equality. He also makes sure that Mind the Gap makes friends with organisations in this country and abroad. Julia Skelton - Administrative Director Julia is responsible for running the business side of Mind the Gap. She makes sure the company knows what work it has to do and that we have enough money to do it. She is looking after the company's building project and the move to Lister Mills.
Emma works in Outreach which introduces people to the work of Mind the Gap. Outreach aims to find new performers and future students for Mind the Gap's training courses. Emma also teaches Workshop Skills on the Making Theatre course.
Vicky Ackroyd - Director of Learning & Skills Vicky looks after the Learning & Skills area of work that Mind the Gap does. She looks after the Making Theatre and Staging Change courses. She works with Tim on the new Leading Edge national network.
David Praties - Production Manager David is the technical person at Mind the Gap. He looks after all of the company's audio visual equipment, props and computers. He also manages the technical side of National Tours.
Rhiannon Ellis - Assistant Theatre Director Rhiannon works closely with the Acting Company helping them develop their professional skills. She also works on Outreach Projects with Emma and works with actors who are going on the National Tour. Rhiannon prefers to be called Rio.
Alison Morris - Marketing & Programming Officer Alison is responsible for making sure people know about Mind the Gap's National Tours, Our New Home, our shows, workshops and training courses through leaflets, letters, email, the media and the website. She also contacts venues and books National Tours.
Ruth Piggott - Agency Coordinator Ruth is responsible for looking after Mind the Gap’s new Actors’ Agency so if you’re looking for a professional, trained actor with a learning disability, do get in touch.
Lisa Mallaghan - Capital Projects Administrator As Projects Administrator, Lisa is involved in all areas of the company's work - supporting Making Theatre, the Acting Company, marketing and outreach. Lisa is working closely with Julia on our building project.
Charli Ward - Learner Support Worker As Learner Support Worker Charli works closely with the students on the Making Theatre course. She makes sure that all the students and their families and support workers know what they are doing and when. During term time, Charli is usually in session between 10am and 3pm, so the best time to call her is after 3pm.
Amra Akhtar - Administrative Assistant
Amra is involved in all areas of the company's work - supporting the Acting Company, Learning & Skills, the building project, the Agency, marketing and outreach. Amra makes sure the office runs smoothly.
Jacqui Stead - Finance Officer Jacqui works part time and is responsible for all Mind the Gap's money matters. She makes sure that we pay people who have worked with us, that we pay all our bills, that people pay Mind the Gap for the things we have done and that Mind the Gap staff get paid and that all of this is done on time.
