Staging ChangeStaging Change is a national training course for learning disabled actors co-ordinated by London’s Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in partnership with Mind the Gap.
Staging Change is a course for aspiring learning disabled actors who have acted professionally before. Our aim is to allow learning disabled actors to develop their talent through training. Students work alongside non-disabled drama students at five top drama schools. They learn about acting for the stage, TV, radio and film. The training includes - voice work - character work - movement studies - physical theatre - improvisation skills Previous students have gone on to become professional actors on national tours, on the television and on the radio. Several of them are in our Acting Company Our students work alongside non-disabled drama students at four drama schools.
