Qualifications
The Open College Network supports learning and widens opportunity by recognising achievement through credit-based courses and qualifications. Credit-based courses, like Making Theatre, help students learn at their own pace. We document our students’ work through writing, photographs, film and sound recordings, among other ways. An OCN moderator then checks the portfolios to make sure we are being fair to our students.
Our students are able to work towards qualifications at the following levels:
Entry Level
Level 1
Level 2 (equivalent to GCSE)
Level 3 (equivalent to A-Level)
Our students receive certificates to show their achievements. These certificates are recognised nationally, and show that the student has achieved a specific standard of work.
