On the set of Everyday Hero

Ed here, giving you an update on what i've been doing.  I have been recording Everyday Hero for part of the Moving On series for the BBC.The episode was written by Ester Wilson, based on her Radio play The Heroic Pursuits of Darleen Fyles, which I was in.  All the characters are the same as in the radio play, the only difference is my character is now called James, not Jamie, and he is a cleaner in a posh old people's home not a hospital.  The theme of the whole series is about people going through changes.

Shadow People - The Final Blog

It happened! After all the hardwork and planning it all went according to plan.  All the participants performed really well, and if they were nervous they didn’t show it.The event started off in the courtyard where friends and family of the participants were led out to.  There were also the people who live in the mill.  Most of them came out of their apartments entrance but there were also loads of people on their balcony and looking out of their windows watching.

Brasil Blog 4: Breaking the Mould

On the shores of another sea, another potter, in his twilight years, retires. His eyes are cloudy, his hands tremble—the time has come to say goodbye. And then the ceremony of initiation takes place: the old potter offers the young potter his finest piece. That is the tradition of the native peoples of the American Northwest: the artist who is leaving the craft presents his masterwork to the artist who is setting out.

Hong Kong Blog 10: Time travelling

We we’re on our way home now. We set off at 7.30pm in Hong Kong and get back to UK by 7.30am, which makes 12 hours but because of the time difference we will actually be travelling for about 18 hours. We’re going to squash time! It’s Tim’s birthday as we travel back which means that the day will actually expand and he will be a year older for about 30 hours. Weird isn’t it?!
