Boo rehearsal blog - week 4
Tuesday 10th February 2009
Blog Category: Boo Blog
This week the cast have been working hard on line learning, they all have to be off script by the 16th February. JoAnne says the line learning is going well and Jonny thinks that it should be okay and he will be ready.
I asked them all how they felt with only three weeks of rehearsal left, they all looked quite scared and JoAnne said she was very nervous. Those weren't her exact words but they are not suitable for this blog! It is Jonny's first tour and he said that it does mean a lot to him that he has been picked.
Everyone has been measured for their costumes this week, Rob said that he would like a hoody for his character because he thinks this is something he would wear. As part of rehearsals Rob and JoAnne had a trip t'park this week and spent the whole time throwing leaves over each other.
I asked them all for a line from the play that their character says a lot, or really sums them up. 'I can't see the point,' is the line that Jonny thinks Boo says most when his brother asks him to do something. Alan's character Benny says, 'Where is my paper?' as Boo is always cutting up his papers to put in a scrapbook. Boy's line is either, 'I dare you' or 'Get lost' because he is always teasing his sister and trying to get her to do things he doesn't want to do. And JoAnne said, 'Play with me' because Girl is always looking for fun or adventures.
Next week the cast are doing some filming for the show, so next week i'll tell you all about what they got up to!!
