Boo rehearsal blog - week 1
Ed here, for the next 7 or so weeks I am going to be the electronic voice of Boo. That means that I will be updating you on the rehearsal process of our first national tour in 3 years. I will be telling you about the tantrums, the walkouts and the fall outs (not just Tim's hair!) This is the first week of rehearsal and the first time some of the cast had met. They all said they thought the read through went very well. Some had more lines than they originally thought, Joanne was particularly excited as she has some swear words to say.

Boo rehearsal blog - week 5
This week all the cast are off script and have had a couple of full run throughs in costume. Jonny said he is really pleased with his costume and it is really helping him feel like Boo. JoAnne and Rob say their costumes make them both feel like chavs!

Boo rehearsal blog - week 6
This is the last full week of rehearsals and its been a busy one, at the beginning of the week Tony Evans was in to be filmed doing the BSL interpretation which will be projected on the screens in the background to the scenes. Then on Tuesday all of us in the Acting Company and Making Theatre got to watch a full run through, it was really good and such a big difference from the bits i have seen early on. I was impressed at how well it has come along and how in character everyone was.

Boo - The 'Interval' Blog
The Boo tour has reached the halfway stage and the actors have had a well deserved rest. So your faithful blogger thought, lets get on the phone and ask them how it's been going, Alan wasn't free to talk but the others had plenty to say.

Boo rehearsal blog - week 4
This week the cast have been working hard on line learning, they all have to be off script by the 16th February. JoAnne says the line learning is going well and Jonny thinks that it should be okay and he will be ready. I asked them all how they felt with only three weeks of rehearsal left, they all looked quite scared and JoAnne said she was very nervous. Those weren't her exact words but they are not suitable for this blog! It is Jonny's first tour and he said that it does mean a lot to him that he has been picked.

Boo rehearsal blog - week 3 or I Know What Boo Did Last Summer...
Well, it is week 3 of rehearsals which means we are nearly half way through and noone has thrown in the towel yet. Last week I set all the cast a challenge to think about their characters backstory, a sort of 'I know what Boo did last summer'. JoAnne said that her character used to go out without her brother and liked playing by herself and spying on people but now Boy is always there spoiling her fun. She isn't allowed to play by herself anymore because Kelly Spanner went missing.

Boo rehearsal blog - week 2
Hello, Ed again. This week I have been talking to the actors about their characters. I haven't spoken to Alan yet but... watch this blog. I spoke to Jonny first and he thinks he is getting to know Boo. He said that Boo does a lot of things well and is good at being orgainsed, he likes washing up but doesn't like cooking. Boo likes people but he doesn't have lots of friends, he was once out and some people pinched his bag and pissed in it. Jonny said, he is quite quirky, he really likes beans and is always going on about them.
