Hong Kong Blog 10: Time travelling
Sunday 24th May 2009
Blog Category: Hong Kong Blog
We we’re on our way home now. We set off at 7.30pm in Hong Kong and get back to UK by 7.30am, which makes 12 hours but because of the time difference we will actually be travelling for about 18 hours. We’re going to squash time! It’s Tim’s birthday as we travel back which means that the day will actually expand and he will be a year older for about 30 hours. Weird isn’t it?!
We have had a brilliant time in Hong Kong. Thanks to Mok, Elisa, Mandy, Joyce, Eric, Wong and everyone else who made Moth Ball such a great event. We think CCCD rocks! We loved working at the Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre and must thank British Council and Hong Kong Arts Development Council for their support.
We have selected some of our favourite photographs to give you an idea of the show. We didn’t understand much of what was being said during the show. It was a very interesting experience to direct and perform in a show in a language you don’t understand. It means that we had to focus on the action and the journey of the audience. Mandy did a great job with the dialogue and the movement.
Today it was raining and we had intended to go and see the giant Buddha but he was shrouded in mist. So we went to a fishing village and ate fish instead. We then went round a Chinese market to look at the things that go into Chinese cuisine.
This is the end of our Hong Kong blog. We hope you enjoyed reading it. We’ve no idea if anyone read it. Let us know if you enjoyed hearing about what we have been up to. Love Tim and Jez x
