Today is Jez’s birthday. Hurrah! We asked Mok how birthdays are celebrated in Hong Kong. He said that it is traditional to throw a person into the river on their birthday. Jez was relieved to find out that Mok was only joking!

We have a full rehearsal today with everyone involved in Moth Ball HK. This evening Tim is running the first of his workshops and Jez is going out to see some dance with Mok. A very cultural evening!

Jez: Hey it’s my birthday. Gone is 37 and now I am 38. Ya-hoo! But as they say, work before pleasure - ha-ha-ha!

Tim: I liked the idea of throwing Jez into the river.

PS. On Sunday Mok took Jez shopping whilst Tim was running his workshops. Jez finally bought a pair of birthday trousers. Camouflaged of course! Mok was very tired after the trip. Jez really knows how to shop!
