Last  Monday ITV came to Mind the Gap Studios. They have interviewed Tim and the Making Theatre crew.  You can watch us on This Morning on Monday 11th June. I always watch it because it’s fun and the presenters are really interesting.

The highlight of the day though, was that a famous actor came to visit, Catherine Kelly who plays Becky in Coronation Street. Her character is a bit rough around the edges but in real life she’s very loveable. Catherine gave advice. She suggested not to rush when I say a line. She also explained that when you rehearse it might feel your lines are all the same, but they will always be different. That’s why it’s important to breathe and feel what you are saying. Remember that every actor wants the audience to believe them, we want to make it real.

I was star struck, it was a big thing for us. To me she is someone to look up to, a role model and from her I’ve taken away some good advice. I’d like to thank her for giving up her time.

The film crew interviewed each one of us in our All Space area. They asked us how long we have been here, and few questions about Mind the Gap, if we like coming and that kind of thing. During the interviews, everybody had to be very very quiet, whisper and walk softly on the stairs because even the slightest sound gets captured by the microphone. I felt confident in front of the camera, I looked into it and I spoke loudly and slowly. I’d like to thank the whole crew for coming along to Mind the Gap, I had a great time.

Mind the Gap will feature on This Morning on ITV Monday 11th June - make sure you watch us!
