I Edmund Davies, of sound mind, do honestly and truthfully declare this is the end of my time…in the Acting Company.

I will not be coming back with the rest of the Acting Company in September. I have decided it is a time for pastures new. But I’ll still be doing lots of other things with Mind the Gap.

I came to the decision to leave a few months ago because I just didn’t feel it was for me anymore.

Today was my last day, it’s been weird and quite emotional. I don’t think it’s really hit me yet as it just feels like I’m leaving for the end of term like everyone else.

I stopped myself from crying until Anna-Marie did a dance routine for me to a song called, ‘Goodbye my Friend’.

I’m really going to miss Susan, she’s Mind the Gap’s comedienne and expert in clowning. But I’ll miss everyone, they’re all unique and full of their own ideas.

This morning we played some games and just had fun, with it being the last day. We played Hide and Go Poke, which is very like Hide and Go Seek except when you find someone you poke them.

At lunchtime we had a pizza party so that we could all chill out. I had hugs galore and was serenaded with song and dance. I just wanted everyone to enjoy themselves on the last day, I didn’t want to mope that I was leaving.

I got several presents. The best present was a nice block of Wensleydale cheese that Anne Marie got me. Zara got me chocolates. I got a golden frying pan from everyone at Mind the Gap…I think it was a homage to Crispin Duck! I also got some very nice chocolates.

Dave made me a DVD that has like a photo reel with photo’s on I’d even forgotten were taken. It also had my Art vs Sport presentation on that I did on there. There was the Forced Tents piece we did last year, which was quite random and surreal.

For the last time, this is your faithful blogger saying “Farewell”!
