On the set of Everyday Hero

Ed here, giving you an update on what i've been doing. I have been recording Everyday Hero for part of the Moving On series for the BBC.
The episode was written by Ester Wilson, based on her Radio play The Heroic Pursuits of Darleen Fyles, which I was in. All the characters are the same as in the radio play, the only difference is my character is now called James, not Jamie, and he is a cleaner in a posh old people's home not a hospital. The theme of the whole series is about people going through changes.
James has the same character as in the radio play, some of the dialogue is the same, so I didn't have to learn new lines! The main character is Darleen (played by Donna Lavin) and James is her boyfriend. At the beginning they are just friends but about half way through James asks Darleen out on their first date.
Being on set was great. We were filming in Liverpool and it was all on location. So we went to a cinema and a flat and filmed there, none of it was in a studio.
My favourite bit of the filming was doing my James Bond/ Sean Connery impression in my scene with Anne Reid.
I'm not sure when it's going to be shown, but it's somewhere between August and November. I'll definitely be celebrating when it is on and I'll invite lots of people round to watch it!
