Summer School - getting ready for the show

Yesterday we practiced the dance and made a new routine up.  The new routine is a MashUp dance and we rehearsed that a lot - MashUp means different dances.  There are 4 different dances in it to different music.  We practiced it all day, it was okay and everyone picked it up really well.

Today we have been practicing a run through of all of the show.  The show toady is at 3 o'clock for parents and Mind the Gap staff.  There is an evil DJ that cast an evil spell.  We do challenges and if they get the challenges right then they are free and we all cheer.

One of the challenges people have to do is scary moves in a dance to Thriller.  For Blues Brothers Euan does a solo on his own and has to dance in a groovy way.  Lady GaGa is me, Oliver, Sophie and David.  Karen taught us how to do the thing with our hands when the ra ra bit comes on.

After break we did a tech rehearsal with all the lights and gypsy film that we made on Tuesday. 

The week has been very good, I liked helping people with their work and I think they enjoyed it as well.  I think the group are a bit nervous about the show but I know they'll all be alright.
