How to include people with a learning disability

More and more people are thinking about accessibility, inclusion and helping people with disabilities to access their services. This is fantastic and it will help make the world a friendlier place.

We’ve been working with actors, adults and young people with learning disabilities for many years.

We’ve also been running professional development workshops and disability awareness training for cultural organisations.

We want to help you include learning disability in your Disability Equality Scheme and help your organisation be even more welcoming.

Real Voices Real Lives: Exploring Disability Hate Crime

Front of House

Real Voices Real Lives is an interactive theatre workshop that explores disability harassment, including ‘mate crime’, ‘hate crime’ and violence, in a supported environment.

RVRL is presented by professional Learning Disabled Actors via a series of short performances that are designed to stimulate learning through participation, discussion, interactive role-playing and sharing of experiences.

It’s a unique opportunity to experience training delivered by professional learning disabled actors who also have direct experience of the issues explored.

“Just to say how pleased we were with the workshop. We
all got a tremendous amount out of it.”  Health & Social Care
