A new adaptation of John Steinbeck's

Of Mice and Men

By Mike Kenny

An extraordinary tale of friendship, loyalty and the power of dreams.

George and Lennie are drifters who have only each other and their shared search for the American Dream. George is the smart little guy. Lennie is the kind-hearted big guy unaware of the danger of his physical strength.

Finding work in California George and Lennie hope to stay long enough to make the money to own their own ranch. However, their arrival at the farm sets in motion a chain of events where the only outcome is tragedy.

This powerfully moving story of the lonely and the downtrodden was originally staged to great critical acclaim by Mind the Gap in 2000.

A landmark in Mind the Gap's artistic development and it significantly redefines what is possible in a theatre

Kevin Berry, The Stage, Of Mice and Men 2000

...an intense and honest performance that blows away previous patronising portrayals of learning disabled characters...a powerful play and a coup for the company
