Mind the Gap is seeking a creative and innovative design team to develop a fresh and accessible brand identity.
Mind the Gap is looking for a creative and forward-thinking design team to craft a fresh, accessible brand identity that embodies our commitment to learning disability and autism led creative work. This rebrand will establish a cohesive visual and digital presence, encompassing a new website, brand guidelines, and marketing templates.
With over 35 years of experience collaborating with learning-disabled and autistic artists, we are committed to developing a brand that connects with our diverse audiences and communicates our mission and values with clarity and impact. The new brand will support three key areas of our work:
- Academy: Focused on education and skill development for people with learning disabilities and autism.
- Touring Company: Showcasing the talents of our Artists through performances and collaborations.
- Creative Engagement: Facilitating workshops and projects that promote creativity and community involvement in Bradford.
Objectives:
- Develop a cohesive brand identity that reflects the values and individuality of each of our three areas of work while maintaining a unified overall brand.
- Create a user-friendly and accessible website that effectively communicates our mission, showcases our work, and engages our audience.
- Explore the idea of a new versatile logo that embodies our mission and resonates with our target audience.
- Produce comprehensive brand guidelines to ensure consistent application of the brand across all platforms.
- Develop digital marketing templates for social media and email that align with the new brand identity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Mind the Gap to understand our vision, values, and inclusive approach to making high quality theatre experiences for our audiences
- Conduct research to inform the brand development process, including best practices in accessibility and inclusivity.
- Create initial design concepts and gather feedback from our team and stakeholders.
- Refine designs based on feedback, ensuring that the final assets are aligned with our goals.
- Provide a detailed rollout plan for implementing the new brand across all channels.
Desired Experience:
- Proven experience in brand development, particularly for organizations working in the arts and community sectors.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating innovative and accessible design solutions.
- Experience in creating user-friendly digital platforms and marketing materials.
- An understanding of the challenges and opportunities related to working with local communities.
