MTG and National Youth Dance Company Summer School

Join MTG and NYDC for an Exciting Summer School of Dance and Creativity!

Dive into two dynamic days of dance and creativity with MTG and NYDC! This is a unique opportunity to explore the vibrant world of the National Youth Dance Company (NYDC) and gain insights into their latest show, “Wall,” choreographed by the renowned Oona Doherty.

What to Expect

Day 1: Starts off with an engaging dance technique session, where you’ll learn and refine your skills under the guidance of our inclusive team of facilitators. These sessions are designed to be accessible to all, led by professionals with and without learning disabilities and/or autism.

Day 2: Immerse yourself in choreography and creative workshops, where you’ll have the chance to create your own dance pieces. In the afternoon, showcase your hard work in our theatre space. This sharing session is a fantastic opportunity to perform in front of friends and family, presenting the choreography you’ve crafted during the summer school.

This summer school is for young people with learning disabilities and/or autism aged 16 – 24. You don’t need dance experience. You just need to be passionate and excited to join us! Please wear comfortable dance clothes, and bring a refillable water bottle – we have a water fountain! Lastly, bring snacks and food to keep you going throughout the day.
