Board Co-Chair

“I have been involved with Mind the Gap for many years, having been the company’s Outreach Director in the mid 2000’s and subsequently a freelance director. I now work for Orkney Islands Council as their Arts Officer, supporting artists and organisations to do wonderful things, but I always enjoy a trip back to Bradford (and a visit to Mind the Gap) when I’m able to.”

From 2022 to 2024 Emma is Co-Chair of the Board alongside Lynne Carter. This means that she shares responsibility for making sure that Mind the Gap does all the things that it promises it will do, and that it does this in the right way to be legal and for its funders. She works closely with the whole Mind the Gap team to help make sure that the Board reflects the company’s audiences, participants, and partners much better.

Emma is passionate about all the arts, fairness, Sindy dolls and the sea. She is owned by a cat called Natty.
