“I have enjoyed working with Julia and the rest of the staff team as well as fellow Board members over the years and seeing Mind the Gap develop into a major player in the sector.”
Jerry joined the Board in January 1997 through an agency called Business in the ARTs, with a view to offering financial advice. In 2010, he became Chair of the Board until standing down at the end of 2021 but he remains on the Board as Chair of the Money and Partners Action Group.
The majority of Jerry’s career has been in the housing sector as a Finance Director and Consultant. He has also served as Vice Chair of a District General Hospital but, more recently, his main interest outside of Mind the Gap has been as a founding member of The Aire Rivers Trust for which he has acted as Secretary for its ten year life, in which it has grown significantly.
Jerry enjoys playing the piano, uke and singing, though he states that none of these will ever win him any prizes. He also loves to travel and is a Leeds Rhinos fan.
