Community & Youth Development Worker

A headshot of Naelah Shahzad. She is a Pakistani woman in her thirties with dark eyes and red lipstick. She is wearing a blue hijab over her hair and a red jumper. The photo is taken outside in front of a large red vent.

As a Community & Youth Development Worker, Naelah makes connections with people and find ways of supporting them through the programmes we offer at Mind the Gap.

During Naelah’s 8 years at Mind the Gap, she’s done a whole range of jobs including (but not limited to!) HR admin, coordinating volunteers, managing venue hire and helping support academy sessions. She has a background in Youth and Community engagement and has worked on many projects with women, children and young people.

Naelah has a great interest in South Asian art, culture, heritage and history. In her spare time, she loves going out with her family and enjoys doing make-up and henna painting for family and friends.
