Leadership

Mind the Gap works to improve understanding, promote equity and create new pathways to the arts for people with learning disabilities and autism – as audiences, as participants, and as artists.

We support our core ensemble of Artists to develop their own ideas and we connect with the wider community of learning disability companies and artists to share and exchange practice and knowledge. We establish and nurture new partnerships and collaborations to widen the spectrum of mainstream companies who understand, actively support and advocate for inclusive practice.

We recognise that both interdependent relationships and allyship are necessary to enable learning disabled and autistic artists to develop and flourish, and we strive to be bold and outspoken about issues that affect them.
