“I love performing, whether that’s on stage, on TV or in street theatre shows. In my spare time I enjoy photography, pizza and going to the pub with friends. Most people know me as a very cheeky chap and say that I can charm my way out of anything!”

Liam Bairstow has been an Artist at Mind the Gap since 2014. He has performed lead roles in many of the company’s productions including Treasure Island, Contained and, most recently, as news anchorman Sam Hill in ZARA. Outside of Mind the Gap, Liam has achieved huge success, being cast as the first person with Down Syndrome to appear in a recurring role on ITV’s Coronation Street. His character Alex Warner has made over 120 appearances on the show since 2015. Liam is also an Ambassador for Mencap.
